چکیده
In There are few simulation studies in the literature focusing on production of biodiesel from vegetable oil deodorization distillate (VODD), a waste originating processing stage, using hydrotalcite-hydroxyapatite as heterogeneous catalyst. this study, process was performed open interface software DWSIM® Version 6.3. The motivation relied positive performance catalyst during experimental studies. So, simulator design, lipid raw material, ethanol, and were fed together CSTR-01 conversion reactor. thermodynamic fluid package used for Non-Random Two-Liquid (NRTL) activity coefficient model. flowchart consisted reaction step (oil transesterification), separation steps ethyl esters produced, excess ethanol purification biodiesel. As result, different scenarios simulated, commercial soybean comparative form, types catalysts molar ratios alcohol VODD. Among main differences between simulated cases, it demonstrated that (1:45) caused greater quantity VODD consumption, consequently formation (biodiesel), resulting higher conversions (> 95%). addition, results obtained confirmed adequacy potential material to produce biodiesel, is relatively cheaper than edible oils contributes use waste. Thus, confirming chemical able form fatty acids even residual material.

متن کاملBiodiesel production from soybean oil using ionic liquid as a catalyst in a microreactor
In the present study, Choline hydroxide (ChOH) as an ionic liquid catalyst was used for transesterification of soybean oil into biodiesel in a microchannel reactor. The effects of three variables i.e. reaction temperature, catalyst dosage and total flow rate on fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content (wt. %) were optimized using Box–Behnken experimental design. In order to predict the FAME conte...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production from Palm Oil using Heterogeneous Base Catalyst
In this study, the transesterification of palm oil with methanol for biodiesel production was studied by using CaO–ZnO as a heterogeneous base catalyst prepared by incipient-wetness impregnation (IWI) and co-precipitation (CP) methods. The reaction parameters considered were molar ratio of methanol to oil, amount of catalyst, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The optimum conditions—15:1 ...

Biodiesel and lactic acid from rapeseed oil was produced using sodium silicate as catalyst. The transesterification in the presence of the catalyst proceeded with a maximum yield of 99.6% under optimized conditions [3% (w/w) sodium silicate, methanol/oil molar ratio 9/1, reaction time 60 min, reaction temperature 60°C, and stirring rate 250 rpm]. After six consecutive transesterification reacti...
متن کاملTransesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst
Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...
